Happy Monday, lovelies! This weekend was nuts with the crazy cold weather and random amounts of snow. Today I am linking up with The Monogrammed Midwesterner and Prep Northwest for styling a rainy day outfit. As much as I wanted to do this linkup properly and I even dressed for it multiple times, the weather just was not suitable for it. I was so disappointed, so I decided to do my frozen rain take on the weather. It has been below thirty and snowing the past few days, which has been nuts!
I love cold weather accessories, so putting together this outfit was fun (although I wish it could have been rain-related)! I have worn a black coat for years, so I decided to go with a white coat this year. I always wear muffs or scarves, hats look so nuts on me!
As part of the linkup, I will answer some questions:
What’s your favorite way to keep warm on a rainy day?
I like to wear anything that will keep me warm, as I get cold easily. I tend to layer as much as I can and I enjoy finding good accessories to pair with each outfit.
Are you a hood, umbrella, or both kind of girl?
I am notorious for losing umbrellas. I have left them on trains, buses, work, and even my own house. I do love umbrellas, but I always have to own a ton of them. I prefer them to hoods, because I only own one coat with a hood.
What is your best hair tip for a rainy day?
Realize that your hair is probably going to get messed up at some point during the day. I almost always wear my hair down and rain is no exception. I tend to braid it when I am outside, to keep it from frizzing too much. I also put in some product to protect it as well. I also tuck my hair into my coat a lot when it is raining or snowing hard.
What’s your favorite thing to do on a rainy day?
I like the rain, although not so much snow. I don’t mind going outside during rain when it is not too crazy outside. I also like to stay inside, drink some coffee or tea and watch TV or a movie.
As I could not fully participate in this linkup, I still wanted to get the idea out there. I think it is great when bloggers get together to support each other and share ideas. You can check out Michaela’s blog here. She is doing a giveaway!
