I tend to switch up my makeup for different seasons. In the summer I rarely wear any at all, but I like to build upon it for the fall/winter. I tend to use a lot of the same items throughout all of the seasons, but I do switch things up when my skin changes a bit. As winter gets closer, my skin tends to get a bit drier, and I use a slightly creamier foundation.
I wanted to share some of my daily makeup tips, and I promise it is nothing too difficult or time consuming. Once I got down a solid routine, I do my makeup in like 10-15 minutes in the morning. Many of these products I have used on and off for years, and I swear by them. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me in the comments or email me!
1. Born This Way- Too Faced Foundation (Vanilla) This is a newer addition to my foundation collection. I don’t hoard them but I do like to try out new foundations from time to time. I have combination skin, so finding a foundation is always tough for me. I find this to provide great coverage that isn’t too heavy. It is hydrating without being too oily, and leaves me with more radiant skin. 2. Nars Bronzer in Laguna I have been using this bronzer for sooo long. I use it all year round, although I use less of it in the winter. It is the perfect color for my skin tone, and I love the subtle glow it adds to my skin. It can be a bit overpowering if you use too much, but using the right amount gives such nice color. I love how soft it feels on the skin and how light it is. 3. Smashbox BB Cream Eyes I use this as a brightener and a concealer for my under eyes. This stick works miracles for dark under eye circles in the mornings (they are BAD) and it is awesome for those little touch ups throughout the day. 4. Lancome Clis Booster Mascara Primer I received this as a free sample and I absolutely love it! I used to use a different primer, but now this is my go-to. I use it at night as a conditioning treatment for my eyelashes, and during the day as a primer. It is super light and doesn’t clump my mascara and it also lengthens my eyelashes as well. 5. MAC Mineralize Blush in Warm Soul I was so used to using pink and peachy toned blushes, but this was a welcomed change. It is a bit more of a neutral blush, but I think it is a great change up for fall. The color is gorgeous and still noticeable on my skin. I also love how light it is and how a little goes such a long way. 6. BareMinerals Mineral Veil (Illuminating)
I have been using some form of BareMinerals as a powder and makeup setter for a long time. The illuminating one is my favorite and I love the subtle radiance it adds to my skin. It hydrates just a little bit and it is super buildable. 7. Maybelline Define a Lash (non waterproof) This has been my favorite drugstore branded mascara since college. My friend introduced me to it and it is such a light mascara. It works great to layer under something else, or to give separated lashes. It will not make your lashes supper full, but it never clumps. 8. Lorac Eyeshadow Palette I loved this eyeshadow palette when I discovered it because it has so many of the colors that I love. All the neutrals are so gorgeous and the staying power is amazing. Hands down my favorite and most used eyeshadows. 9. e.l.f. lip exfoliator
If you wear lipstick, this is a MUST for your lips. It has this brown sugar flavor to it and is an awesome primer for lipstick. 10. NYX Butter Gloss (Tiramisu)
I love this gloss, it is such a gorgeous neutral to layer on top of lipstick or on bare lips. It is a less sticky gloss than other glosses, and it is super light. 11. Rimmel London Lipstick (104) My favorite drugstore lipstick find EVER. This is my favorite neutral color and I use it in place of my MAC lipstick (Twig). It is a bit drying after a longer day, so I would recommend some sort of primer when using this.
