Happy Friday! What a lovely week it has been here! The weather was gorgeous, hot, and in the 90’s…. finally. The plants have started growing and the flowers have started blooming, so finally I have some good backdrops again.
I received this skirt from Chicwish recently and I am in love with the beautiful print and colors. I decided to go a bit more boho with this look, so I added a flowy top, and braided my hair as well. Actually, I braided my hair because it was sooo hot that day and I needed it to stay off my face. Most of the pictures we took are of me wiping sweat off my forehead (sorry, TMI). I always wonder how you ladies from warmer climates do photos in this weather all the time! This skirt is very flowy and does have a stretchy waistband, so I find it to be very comfortable. It was perfect for the humid weather we had all week, since it was so light. I wore a shorter, OTS top with this skirt, since I tend to wear my maxi skirts a bit higher on my waist. I typically do not like to tuck things in, I find that it cuts me in half and tends to make me look shorter. I have found that being shorter and heavier does not work well with tucking certain things in, it usually tends to make me look very top-heavy.
How do you feel about maxi skirts? Do you tend to tuck tops in or let them flow? Have a beautiful weekend!
