Hey everyone! Hope your Friday is off to a great start and you are excited for the weekend, or almost weekend if it’s still the morning!
So, if you have followed me for a while, then you know that I started this blog from the ground up. If you look through my older posts, the photos are shaky, the outfits are kind of basic, and it was all just for fun. Now, don’t get me wrong here, my blog is still all fun, but it has also evolved into a business in its own right. I get a lot of questions about running a blog as a business and how I keep up with my full-time job and running a this blog as well. I’d thought I’d share my thoughts on an app that I discovered a few months ago: The Square Cash App. It has helped me in my blog and my everyday life as well…. so I thought I would share the basics on the app, and some ways I use it every single week.
So, the nice thing about this app is that it can be used anywhere and in any environment. I use it to transfer money while I’m working, having drinks with friends, or when I’m blogging.
Unless you happen to carry cash with you allll the time (you are my hero if you do), then this app is a gamechanger, with a quick turnaround time. I didn’t know this was an option when I first started using it, but it allows for instant transfers! For a 1% fee, the money you receive from a business or a friend can be instantly deposited into your account… baller status. It happens to also be the only app that allows for instant transfers.
So, I’m sure you are thinking, how does this have to do with blogging? Well… since it is the easiest way I have found to send money, it makes it that much quicker to get paid with blogging gigs. Companies can pay you through the app because it’s free to sign up and links directly to your debit card.
As so many of you know with blogging, unexpected things arise. You lose your memory card but you don’t have your wallet with you (true story), you rip your tights (another true story) and you need someone to just spot you some money on the go. Or, you buy some new things and need to pay someone back over time. All these things have happened to so many of us (bloggers or not) and sometimes we just need a way to get out of a bind. The app stores all your ingoing and outgoing payments, so it’s super easy to keep track of every money move you make.
Or, if you have ever been out with friends and you’re sharing a meal or going for drinks, not everyone has cash. You know how many times waiters have cringed at splitting the bill 7 ways, or splitting a drink order at a bar. Instead of spotting people or having them cover you next time, this app lets you pay them back instantly, while still being private and not requiring you to share about it on social media (yuck)!
Remember, you can check out the Square Cash App and give it a try for yourself. In case you’re feeling super generous, you can send a few bucks my way… haha! Have a great weekend.
Also, if you have used this app before, please let me know your thoughts!
