Happ Monday! Anyone else off work today?! I feel like I need to stop having days off… it makes me lazier than I would like. I say I am going to do all these things and then I basically never do. Anyone else have that issue?
I wore white jeans in winter last year and I liked the way they looked against black tops. They have this stark contrast against black and gray and I like the way the outfits turn out. I do get people looking at me funny when I wear them… but it is what it is haha.
I went with a black tunic top, which I have worn in sooo many outfits. I would say that I wear other black tops under pieces, but I don’t. I see no point in buying new tops just for photos, when in real life I wear the same few consistently. I paired the top with white denim this time…. to make the look stand out a bit more. I also wore this long vest on top to kind of break up the all black and white look. I have worn this vest to work a few times as well…. mainly layered over dresses. I love how versatile it is and I also really love the length of it.
Hope you all have a fabulous week and hopefully an amazing day off!
Also, today is MLK day (Martin Luther King Jr.) and I would like to take a moment to share one of my favorite quotes of all time… which happens to have been spoken by him. “Every man must decide whether he will walk in the light of creative altruism or in the darkness of destructive selfishness.” There is truly so much going on in the world. I chose from the moment that I started my blog that I would always remain politically neutral on public forums and I have, and will continue to do so. I am sharing this quote more as a reminder… because I think this week is going to bring out the worst in people and we are going to witness history (good or bad).
