Hey all and happy Thursday!! Whew, it feels so weird posting back to back! I have not done that since I first started blogging and life was not so hectic! I decided to bring you a fun post all about festival hair, since Lollapalooza is happening this weekend and I will be attending!
Thanks to Bed Head branded products, I was able to showcase some fun looks for festival season and to be honest, any humid day…. pretty much every single day in Chicago. Bed Head sent me a slew of products, some of which I was like… how do I use there. Thankfully, one of my good friends in a hair stylist and youtube was also available. I did make sure to try every single one prior to posting, because I wanted to make sure I knew how to use them and believed in them as well!
If you are like me at festivals, then you sweat a lot! I like to wear my hair up or do something super fun, instead of just your average ponytail! We decided (my friend helped me out for the styles) to use these Bed Head products and make some fun looks for wearing to a festival! Who doesn’t love a good braided style?!!?
For this first hairstyle (pictured above) I used the Totally Beachy Shampoo & Conditioner… which I used for every look, since this is obviously the same day haha. I actually was nervous about it, I always get super apprehensive about new products in my hair. I used the purple shampoo from Bed Head now and swear by it. This was nice, left a really soft texture, and it brought out my blonde a lot!
This one was for sure my favorite hair style! I was talking to Mindy about how I have always wanted to french braid from the bottom up, but I am awful at it! So, we thought it would be fun to have a french braid from the bottom up that wrapped around a bun. This way all the hair is off the face (amen) and it still looks extra cute!
For this look we used: The Masterpiece Shine Hairspray (smells amazing) and the Thickening Spray to get that braid to look a bit fuller!
Then I kind of thought about those girls that never really want to do much and just put their hair up. Or you are on day 3 or 4 of Lolla and are just over it! A fun and quick pony with a bit of volume is perfect!! It is easy to do and only takes a few minutes!
For this look we used: The Salt Spray (for texture), the Hairspray, and then Headrush for a bit of extra shine!
These are all the products they sent! I promise to keep trying them, so if you have any questions about a specific one!
This was the first look we did and I loved it! A crown braid is amazing, fairly quick, and so easy to rock with any look! I love how full it looked and how it stayed in place despite all the crazy wind happening!
For this look we used: The Hairspray & the Dry Shampoo (second day hair)
I took a picture of these separately because we used all of these for pretty much every hair style! Of course we used the others, but you can rock with these every single day, even outside of festivals. By the way, that dry shampoo is literally the most amazing thing I have ever used! All of these Bed Head products used in these photos can be purchased at Ulta and each link will take you to an Ulta page with the product… in case you like reading reviews as much as me!
Thank you so much to my friend Mindy from Mindy City Beauty for helping me create these hairstyles for Lollapalooza! I hope you can find some inspiration from them!
