Hey all and happy Monday! Hope you all are having a fabulous start to your week! This weekend was nothing too crazy, not much happened… definitely nothing to write on here haha!
I love wearing plaid for fall, but I like to find different ways to wear popular prints, beyond what is expected. I am sharing a few different ways that I wore plaid this year, and how you can mix it up as well.
MIXING PLAIDS
Probably one of my favorite new ways to wear plaid! I always thought (and I’m sure many people do) that the plaids have to match! That you have to be wearing matching pieces in order for it to work… and I am here to show you, YOU DON’T!
This blazer was owned by my Grandma, and I definitely still wear it every fall! I grabbed this skirt recently and I had no idea how to pair it originally. I was going to do a leather jacket or something along those lines, but I thought that was a bit too obvious! So, I figured mixing plaids would be perfect!

ADD OTK BOOTS TO A DRESS
I love a good dress, especially one with a tie detail! This one was so cute and definitely something I would have worn to work, when I actually had to leave my house for work… as I work from home mostly now.
Instead of just pairing it with heels, I thought it would be fun to pair it with OTK boots. I have had these boots for 3 years and got them for the equivalent of about 20 bucks from Target! They really have held up well, and they pair with so many things!

ADD A COLORED LEATHER JACKET TO A SKIRT
This is another one of those outfits where at first I had different plans for wearing it. As I was looking for pieces, I stumbled on this jacket from a few years ago, and loved how it brought out the subtle burgundy colors in this skirt.
This skirt is perfect for fall and I love that there is a touch of burgundy in it, to at least give it some pop of color. I went with a black tank and booties, as I figured it would match the best and most seamlessly.

WEAR IT ON A JUMPSUITÂ
This jumpsuit I grabbed while I was in San Francisco. I loved the unique color of it and the fact that it still had a subtle plaid print on it. Although the color does not technically scream fall, I loved that it was not your usual color for this season. I wanted to keep the palette a bit lighter all over, so I threw on this fun pink leather jacket as a nice addition.
I also threw in the pink bag in order to complement the whole look and the entire color palette. Although the colors are a bit more spring, the plaid and leather keep the look working for fall.
