Workwear Wednesday: Black and White Layers

Hey everyone and happy Workwear Wednesday!! Needless to say, it was snowing while taking these photos. It was actually snowing all day, but it started getting crazy as I was changing for this shoot. Yes…. I do change in my car a lot when shooting looks. It began snowing like crazy and at some point I was said that we just need to shoot. So please forgive all the snow in these photos, although I think it does add a little something to them.
I wear layered look a lot for work, especially when it is so cold outside. I really don’t like doing the blazer or sweater on top, so I tend to layer shirts underneath instead. I prefer shirts with a tie neck, as I think they really add something to the dress and the whole outfit. I really love how big of a bow this top makes, so it is one of my favorite for layering. I like to keep palettes simple for work and for layering in general. So for this, I went with a pair of black tights and then black shoes as well. I always try to add a pop of color with my purse and my lipstick!
Hope you are having a great week! Would love to hear about how you layer for work!

So most of these items are old, and by old I mean within  the last year I bought all of them. Unfortunately the retailers no longer carry any of them… at least not online. So, I am linking a bunch of similar items in case you are so curious haha.
I never post these with the intentions of you shopping my entire look… I mostly do it for inspiration or to give you ideas of how to wear things or layer. In case you are curious, here is where everything is from: Dress: J.Crew Factory, Top: Who What Wear via Target, Booties: Tory Burch (ebay find), Bag: Tory Burch (new version has been created)

I’m actually glad that you decided to shoot even though the snow was falling lil crazy. You’re right about the snow adding a little ‘something’ to the pictures, it’s beautiful!
