Hey all and happy Friday! This is usually where I recap my week or weekend and chat a little about my life for a few sentences. Just depends on the day I am posting.
As the years have gone on with blogging, it has become more and more important to me to find brands/ stores that are size inclusive and celebrate women of all sizes. So when Meijer reached out to me about a partnership, I was super excited to work with a brand that was so size-inclusive! What I did not expect, was that every size would be available in pretty much every piece in store as well!! Every single item I looked at had full size inclusion and was available to try on in-store (S-3X).
As a curvy/plus-size woman, it has been really tough shopping over the years and not having my size in store, and having to wait for it to arrive… sometimes weeks later. So, seeing the sizing signs all over the store was a huge win for me!
I tried out two of the brands for a fun take on athleisure and fall fashion trends! I styled two comfy looks from The Sweatshirt Project, which are easy to replicate and very budget-friendly. The other look is created from a brand that is newer to Meijer… Ophelia Roe! Tons of cute options to shop in store, with a variety of prints, colors, and pieces for day to night.
Wear a Fun Print
One of the reasons I stayed away from athleisure for so long was I sometimes felt like it was too boring. I love wearing a fun print or color, and a lot of brands seem to be neutral (black and gray) heavy, or don’t involve a ton of print. My workout clothing tends to have a ton of print to it, so I was surprised to have a tough time finding prints with athleisure-wear! Thankfully, Meijer has a line called the Sweatshirt Project, which is available up to a size 3X in store and has a ton of print and color options!
I saw these pants first in gray when I was shopping in the store and I loved that they cuffed at the bottom. Then I stumbled upon this camo print and the camo top was hanging right above it! I figured why not do a whole printed look and give it more of a monochrome feel! I felt like wearing it with a denim jacket or a tee was just too easy, and I am never one to shoot for basic fashion!
I love a good print on print and athleisure-wear is one of the easiest ways to achieve this look while still being extremely comfortable! Just add a pair of kicks (booties or heels work too) and you are all set!

Add a Fun Piece (Like a Coat)
Jackets tend to really be my thing when fall and winter hit! I love being able to find a fun statement piece for any outfit… including when I have to make a quick run to the store and am not looking my best!
I noticed this coat immediately and it was the first piece to go into my cart! The brand Ophelia Roe, sold exclusively at Meijer had a lot of fun pieces to mix and match for the fall and every item is available up to a size 3X! The styles rotate every 8 weeks, so there are always new options available as well!
I always tell people to never be afraid to pair a statement piece or something a little more chic with something comfy! I think mixing a fur coat and striped pants is the perfect way to dress up a more casual look. These pants were perfect and the second piece I picked up in the store. I loved that they had the same color running down the side of the pants… definitely felt like fate to me and super versatile for fall!
This is one way to look very put together, and you can even go out, grab some drinks in this look, or do a day at the office. Adding a good statement-making piece can really amp up the look a bit!

Wear a Comfy Dress & Add Sneakers
Comfy dresses are so key for me and I love being able to wear them throughout all seasons! This one (from The Sweatshirt Project) is light enough for summer, still heavy enough for fall. Dresses like these are super comfy and really can be dressed up or down!
I wanted to keep mine a bit simple and just add some jewelry to the look. That way the outfit looks a little more put together, but is not super dressy! I used to wear dresses like this to work with a pair of wedges or flats… and sometimes with a sweater or blazer on top. I also love that it is comfy enough to run around town in and get a whole lot of things done!

One of the things I loved most was that there was a HUGE selection of merchandise in the store and it was all sorted by brand name. Each section was labeled, so you could easily mix and match pieces within the same brand.
The most crucial part to me though was not only that they offered sizes S-3X… it was that every size was represented in store as well! It can sometimes be so hard to find sizing beyond a L or XL in store, so I was so excited to see that I could find every piece I looked at in every single size. It has honestly been so annoying throughout the years to have to wait for something to come in the mail, only to not have it fit once it arrives… or to have to order it in multiple sizes!
I also appreciated how large the fitting rooms were. I tried on a lot of items and there were ample hooks, a full-length mirror, and plenty of room to walk around!
