Hey all and happy Wednesday! Heat is finally working in my apartment and just in time for a chillier week. It has been quite gloomy here and overcast pretty often. Plus, it has been raining on and off so much recently. I do love fall, but not so much used to this weather right now!
I love to find a little bit of color for fall and wore this outfit to an event recently. I use to wear suits back in the college and post-college days, especially for interviews. I dreaded wearing suits back then: they were always so boring, not figure flattering, and just uncomfortable. I love that suits have taken a recent revamp in years, especially with the addition of more color. I also love that they have taken a bit more of a casual turn and can be worn almost anywhere now.
Since I knew I was wearing this to an event first, I wanted it to feel a bit more casual. I started out with the sneakers to give the suit a bit more edge, while still keeping the look all over casual. I also paired it with a crop top instead of tucking a top in. Tucking reminded me of all the heinous button downs and odd silk shirts I used to wear with suits. This time, I wanted the suit to be more fun, so in came the crop top.
